a good debate

Politics in the details.
While the debate surrounding the overall impact of the measure pits economists and their statistics against one another, Republicans quickly seized on the family planning money as evidence that the Democrats were advancing an agenda that went beyond the economy.

"How you can spend hundreds of millions of dollars on contraceptives how does that stimulate the economy?" House Republican Leader John Boehner, R-Ohio said on Friday after congressional leaders met with Obama at the White House. "You can go through a whole host of issues that have nothing to do with growing jobs in America and helping people keep their jobs."

9 Articles on record cold temperatures

I've read 9 articles today on record cold temperatures.  I am not sure how to balance this with the cries of Global Warming.  I looked at Al Gore's charts and we are on the upswing of the trend, but it sure seems like a bold and big leap of faith to assume that we are going to stay going upward when millions of years of history shows that we have been this high in the past.

A volcano puts out as much pollution in  one eruption as the U.S. does in about 20 years!  What ended the "Ice Age" to begin with.  I do not believe it was cars and Industrialization.

I do not know what to think.
